Part of the reason for me establishing this blog is to master the use of language to translate intelligent ideas. In the modern day we see the mastery of language from the top tier entertainers, politicians and TV personalities. Below are five simple ways you can make immediate positive changes to your life using the 5 most powerful words you know:
1. Yes
For many of us, risk is a difficult part of life. Unfortunately, it is unavoidable. When we look at some of the stories of the great minds throughout history, we learn that those that ventured outside their comfort zone and challenged difficulty head on are often followed by favorable fortune. By saying yes in moderation you enable your light to shine is ways unimaginable.
2. No
I had this problem a long time ago. I was unable to use the word no to my advantage. If asked me to do a favor for somebody I would hopelessly try to please them and say yes when I knew I may be unable to complete it with everything I had going on. By over committing and helping them I would disappoint and let them down in the end. Utilizing the word no with conviction from time to time can ensure you are attending to your best interests while maintaining a good relationship with those around you.
3. Please
Most conflict is a result of lack of communication. By saying please you convey a sense of gratitude and appreciation. Interestingly enough, those that we are more familiar with we tend not to work as hard with to develop a consistently positive relationship. It's the small things like saying please that can redefine a relationship with a intensified positive energy. Simple language changes that leveraging powerful words in your arsenal can transform both your personal and professional life.
4. Thank You
The name of the game is gratitude. If you can master exposing feelings of gratitude regardless on your personal experiences toward the situation transformation can begin. Language has the unique opportunity to influence thought just as the reverse holds true. The unique opportunity you have is create new standards for the way you think so that you can allow change to manifest. Using language to embody a grateful philosophy will allow you to become solution based and become a meaningful contributor in society.
5. We
This is personally one of the words I frequently ignore that has had a detrimental effect on my life. In spite of all the barriers we put in between ourselves to protect our own interests; human beings are incredibly social. We gravitate to inspirational beings that all willing to collaborate. By focusing your language on bringing people together, you can attractive positive collaborators and people willing to work towards a mutual goal.
